EVERTON DUO OUT OF ARSENAL CLASH

Two Everton players have been confirmed as sure absentees for the Arsenal game in the Premier League later this week. Hosts Arsenal take on Everton at the Emirates Stadium on Friday night with either teams hoping to get the win that would take them closer to the leading pack in the chase for European football next season.

EVERTON QUARTET BACK FOR ARSENAL CLASH

Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that he’s almost back to full complement of his team after four players returned to full training in time for the trip to face Arsenal on Friday night.

Ancelotti told reporters in his pre-match press conference ahead of the Arsenal game at the Emirates Stadium that the quartet of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Fabian Delph, Bernard and Yerry Mina are available for selection ahead of the Arsenal game.

Mesut Ozil (who famously offered to pay the salary of Gunnersaurus) has reacted after the mascot made a return to the Emirates.  As of Tuesday, Jerry Que who plays the role of the mascot for over 27 years now, tweeted from the sidelines of the home stadium with the caption: “Back at Emirates Stadium today

The 2014 World Cup winner Mesut Ozil took his time to express his happiness after the news of the reinstatement of the mascot at the Emirates Stadium. Gunnersaurus as of last month was sacked by the club as part of its job-cutting scheme to help with the financial deficiency caused by Covid-19. The decision wasn’t positively received as it prompted a negative clamor from sections of Arsenal’s fanbase and global support with the hashtag #JusticeForGunnersaurus.

Luiz: Man City Loss was my Fault

David Luiz has accepted that he is the reason for Arsenal’s loss against Manchester City. In the match against Manchester City towards the end of the season, they lost to City 3–0, with the defence (led by Luiz) not up to mark, and at fault for all three of the goals Arsenal went on to concede.

With his performance at the match, many have said that he will be not having any furthermore future at Arsenal. His contract will be coming to an end at this season but the player wishes to stay at North London for one more season, and the fact that he was instrumental in bringing fellow Brazilian Gabriel to the club seems to suggest he will still be plying his trade at the Emirates for a few more months yet.

Arteta: No Rush on Lacazette’s Contract

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has said that there is no need to rush in the case of Alexandre Lacazette regarding his contract extension – but he will be definitely having a discussion with the player once the things have been settled down.

He joined the club on 2017 from Lyon and signed a five year deal with the club. He still has two years left in his contract as there isn’t any need to speed up the process of extension. Whereas in the case of Bukayo Saka and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, the decisions needs to be taken with sudden action as it regards their future at Arsenal.
