The Premier League has not even reached its midway point but already there are certain clubs that are so far away from the top spot that it’s almost impossible for them to have any hope of winning the Premier League title of this season.
In the previous season of the Premier League, Liverpool snatched the 2nd spot and was only 2 points away from winning the league however in this season things have taken a huge turn as the team of Brendan Rodgers would be grateful if they are even able of securing a Europa League spot.
Arsenal is another club that is located far away from the current leaders, Chelsea. Arsene Wenger and his squad are behind Chelsea by more than 10 points but even with this substantial numerical disadvantage, the French manager believes that the Premier League is just so competitive that anything can happen and the title race is far from over as Chelsea is still catchable according to Arsenal’s Arsene Wenger.
‘’We have not started very well, but we never had the squad together since the start of the season. It was a post-World Cup start typically. The Premier League level goes always up and this season Chelsea have started very well. They will be difficult to catch, but everybody will fight to come back on them. After 13 or 14 games, you cannot say that the title race is over. You cannot say that is not catchable.”Arsene Wenger told the media.
Injuries continue playing a huge problem for Arsenal in this season with many players facing physical problems and Alexis Sanchez is one of the players that has stepped up and made his mark at the Emirates Stadium as the Chilean forward has turned into one of the more reliable and consistent goal-scorers for Arsenal in this season and this what the clubs needs after not being able to utilize some of their main figures who are out injured.
