Arsenal has been interested in signing a deal with Atletico Madrid’s Thomas Partey. But the agent of Partey has denied there has been no discussion among the player and the English club. His father Jacob Partey was glad of his son having an opportunity to move to the English side. He in a talk with the radio-based radio told that he has called upon his son to confirm Arsenal’s interest on him.
Aubameyang, with twelve months of his contract left, has not yet committed to any new deals with Arsenal. Former player, Paul Merson, said that he should opt to stay in Arsenal where he is player of utmost importance. If his decision is to transfer to other bigger clubs like Manchester United or Liverpool, it will not be good for his career.
Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has indicated that he is ‘really happy’ at Arsenal amid the constant speculation over his future. The 30-year-old has enjoyed another top campaign with the Gunners where he has contributed 20 goals in all competitions and 17 of those have come in the Premier League.

Both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have registered an interest in Rangers left back Borna Barisic, with the North London rivals set to battle it out for the talented youngster. Spurs will make a move for the £22 million rated defender in the summer as they prepare for the imminent departure of Jan Vertonghen, whilst the Gunners are hoping to reshape their squad around players like Barisic.
Ventroghen will be out of contract at the end of the season and the Belgium international has refused to sign a new deal with the club. He will be a free agent at the end of the season, and his time with the club has come to a natural end.
Former Manchester United ace Owen Hargreaves has said that Daniel Ceballos has similar traits to ex-Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas. The Spaniard has endured a mixed campaign with the Gunners on loan this season but he has earned a regular run of matches following the club’s return from the winter break.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Hargreaves said that Ceballos has similarities to Fabregas in the style of play, although he tends to struggle against teams where he can’t have much of the ball. He said: “He’s a flair player, he’s like Cesc [Fabregas], not as good, but like Cesc. The performances where he was brilliant was against Burnley, where Burnley don’t have much of the ball, and Newcastle, who also don’t have much of the ball. But he went to Anfield and really struggled because of the intensity of the game. Arteta’s done a good job in finding the perfect blend in the right game.”

Arsenal legend Alan Smith has said that the Gunners have made a bold move to land the signature of Mikel Arteta. Brazilian youngster Gabriel Martinelli has thanked Arsenal teammate Emiliano Martinez for helping him to adapt to the new surroundings. The 18-year-old joined the Gunners from Brazilian minnows Ituano during the summer and he has since made a good impression with seven goals scored across all competitions.

Arsenal manager Unai Emery has revealed that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was the designated penalty taker for the recent Premier League clash against Aston Villa and he took the risk of handing Nicolas Pepe with the spotkick. The Gabon international has been a revelation for the Gunners since his arrival from Borussia Dortmund, and he recently scored his seventh goal of the season as the north London side sealed a stunning 3-2 comeback win over the Villains.
He told: “Yes, it’s Aubameyang who is responsible for penalties. Also Lacazette, and today for me is a very big decision from Aubameyang to let Pepe shoot to give him confidence and the possibility to score. Really, the responsibility is Aubameyang and I was happy when I saw that decision from Aubameyang. He is hungry every day to score, to achieve, individual and collective objectives. Today that decision shows a really great player.”
